The stars twinkle in the night.
The stars flash in the sky.
The stars dance in the night sky.
The biggest star is the sun.
The stars were smiling at me in the night.
I am a Year 5 student in Team Moana at Ohaeawai School in Northland, New Zealand.

The stars dance in the night sky.
The biggest star is the sun.
The stars were smiling at me in the night.
Going To Waipu
On Friday, me and Mum went to drop my nana off in Auckland so she could go to my aunty’s birthday.
Then me and Mum went to Waipu and we had a sleep over at Mike and Katy’s house. They are Mum’s friends.
Katy took us to dinner. For starters, I had salad, prawns and waffles.
Me and Mason, who is Katy and Mike’s son, and my mum played handball. Mum were the best at it.
We had a cool time.

In Week Seven of Term 2, we did Play Make Create. This is where the teacher reads you a story and you discuss the message in the story. Then you create something based on the message and also do a piece of writing. You can use materials or make a digital creation. This week Mrs Craig Read the book: The Day the Crayons Quit. It was about crayons that weren't happy.
I chose to make a pink monster for the pink crayon and a sun emoji for the yellow crayon.
In Week 5, we learned how to write a Simile poem. This kind of poem needs a simile in almost every line. We could base it on any topic we wanted. I chose to base mine on me Here is my work….
My Simile Poem.
My eyes are as brown as soil.
My hair is black as night.
My legs are as long as rulers.
I am as fast as a cheetah.
