Play make create

 Play Make Create. This is where the teacher reads you a story and you discuss the message in the story. Then you create something based on the message and also do a piece of writing. You can use materials or make a digital creation.  This week Mrs Craig Read the book paper, Scissors, Rock. It was about friendship and learning about your strengths and weaknesses.  I chose to do it on my Chromebook and created a comic strip about scissors vs rock.

Feathers

 This week we went on a hunt in the playground to see if we could find some feathers. We didn’t find any but luckily our teachers had collected some so then we came back to class and wrote about them using our senses of sight and touch to describe them. Here is my work:

Term 2 Week 2-Environmental Writing-Feathers

Task: Write to record ideas generated by our feather hunt in the school grounds and our examination of the feathers we collected.

Choose whatever type of writing you like using the language and structure appropriate to that kind of writing EXCEPT you are not allowed to write an acrostic poem or a couplet poem.

If appropriate, use a range of different sentence beginnings and start your paragraphs with different time sequencing phrases

Record observations based on your  senses  of sight and touch eg Ideas about shape, size, colour, texture

Check your spelling and grammar

Use basic punctuation correctly (Capital letter to start sentences and full stop, question mark or exclamation mark at the end of sentences).

Play Make Create

In Term 2 Week One we did Play Make Create. This is where the teacher reads you a story and you discuss the message in the story. Then you create something based on the message and also do a piece of writing. You can use materials or make a digital creation. I chose to make something to make someone smile. I made a lego house and I wrote a poem.
